Here we see me and Gregory Kester, a.k.a. Gregoire (me and Zac's other roommate), after running through the woods today.

Took an epic run through Lederer Park and the surrounding woods/Walnut Springs today.  Kinda dreary outside, but good running weather.  Listened to Grizzly Bear's Veckatimest, which we've had on steady repeat here in central PA since its release last week.

Zac and I actually drove to Philly for the Grizzly Bear show on Tuesday night.  It was amazing.  Soooooo so tight.  I was seriously blown away.  For having never listened to their music until three weeks ago, I am in serious love with this band right now.  They exceeded all my expectations...so impressive.  Chris Bear is my new favorite drummer...dude is so talented.  Well, they all are.

Okay, enough gushing about Grizzly Bear, but if you don't have the album, seriously, you need to get it.

This is the inaugural photo of the day blog post! Created to commemorate Zac's new camera (Canon Rebel XS), we'll be featuring a sweet new photo everyday....or whenever we feel like it 'cause let's face it, habitual activities are pretty sporadic/short-lived around here (at least in my half). So here it is - a photo of Chris taking some video footage of the moon in a blue sky.

Hi!

I just posted a crapload of pictures to our Photos page.  It covers everything from our first gig at Penn State (pre-Juno Day) to our semester abroad in Spain.  Check it out.

Brainstorming 05/02/2009

Today Zac and I gave a name to our makeshift, unofficial record label: Buenotown Records.  We reached a decision on the name after only five minutes of deliberation...which might mean that it would not actually qualify as deliberation.  At any rate, it was the most decisive we've ever been.

The process reminded me a lot of a previous brainstorming session we had during our semester abroad in 2007, in which we attempted to come up with a band name.  The idea was to shout out names with zero inhibition.  Some of the suggestions were serious, but the exercise quickly turned into a joke, and, ultimately, the results were disastrous.  Here are some of my favorites from the 3+ pages of band name possibilities:

Filit Miggnon
Mango Salsa
Glokenspiel
Chicken and Sex
The World's Wigwam
Telepierna
Bed Biscuit
The Montage (nod to our
Team America phase)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Batmen
Beer
V Words
B.O.S.B. (Band of Sweet Beards)

Also on the list were Buenotown and Born in the 80s, both of which have actually been used...so it wasn't a total waste of time.

Oh, there was also this nice little progression of thought...all frontrunners for our next band after Juno Day:
