Going through the archives...this is one of my favorite recordings from Juno Day 1.0...a practice session in our basement in Lemont of the as-yet-lyric-less "Slab Cabin Run!"  August, 2009.

I was googling Slab Cabin because I'm writing about my family's old farm, Klinger Farm Dairy, for my master's thesis. Did you know that my grandfather's grandfather's dad bought 111 acres in Lemont in 1814, and spent his first 16 years there living in a small log cabin by the stream? His name was John Edris. Even when my grandpa was a kid, kids came from all over the place to sled there. The university kids brought cafeteria trays, but they'd sled on anything. Pretty common to wind up in the stream. I really really enjoyed your as of yet lyric less take! So fun to find it, and I wish you the best. Erin

The record is perfect! Did you write it in a studio or yourself at home?
